Evidences of Spiritual and Physical Healing (Triumphs of Faith 8.2)

EVIDENCES OF SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL HEALING.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not His benefits;
Who frogiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases. – Psa. ciii:23.

Dear Sister Carrie Judd:

I cannot withhold from you that which is your due: the beautiful testimonial to the usefulness of your “Prayer of Faith,” which was the means, in the hand of God, of quickening this dear man’s faith to lay hold upon God. It must indeed be a delight for you to think of the service you may render to Him whose hands hold you-who has long life in His hands to bestow upon His beloved. Let us light up the prison-house and hospital of this world of sin and sorrow by illuminations of His glorious Presence.

Yours in the bonds of Christian faith,

In addition to the testimony of Brother Gordon, I can say that through his efforts and the efforts of some Christian ladies, I was persuaded to seek relief from my suffering, having used opium, in the form or morphine, for three years. I was shut off from the drug and was suffering, oh, so terribly! The great trouble with me was unbelief; but one Sabbath morning, not long ago, I was suffering more than common. I became completely out of heart. I went into my cell and fell down upon my knees, and these were my vey words, for I felt a power upon me: “O, Lord, have mercy one me. Forgive my sins. O, God, ease me of my pain, and help me to conquer the great adversity in the shape of a drug which is killing both soul and body. Do this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!” As I uttered the words underscored, the tears rolled down my cheeks, as I believed, and, lo, it was done! And then in my cell I rejoiced that not only my body was healed, but, glory to God, my sins were forgiven! And when I get out I shall tell the glad news to all the world. Glory to God and His Christ! Praise the Lord, O my soul, forever and ever. Amen.

Pray for the poor convict, all that read this, that he may be faithful and do a great work for Jesus who has done so much for him. Glory, glory, glory, hallelujah! Amen.
